The SBU detained FSB agents who tried to eliminate several dozen Ukrainian soldiers by organizing a "charity" party for them. Military counterintelligence of the Security Service, under the personal coordination of the head of the SBU, Major General Oleksandr Poklad, thwarted a series of terrorist attacks by Russian special services in the Kharkiv region. According to the results of a multi-pronged special operation, two FSB agents who were preparing the liquidation of the Ukrainian military were detained. As the investigation established, both agents were recruited by the enemy remotely through Telegram channels in search of "easy earnings". Having agreed to cooperate with the aggressor, they first performed test tasks: took photos and videos of individual objects, and also set fire to a Defense Forces vehicle. Later, the Rashists involved agents in an attempt to kill Defense Forces soldiers during a "charity" party, which was actually organized by Russian intelligence services. According to the case file, in order to lure the Ukrainian military to a "themed event", these individuals rented a house outside the city and posted invitations to the party in a number of local Telegram channels. According to the plan of the enemy, during the event, the agents were supposed to add powerful substances to drinks, the use of which leads to fatal consequences. It was established that several dozen people, most of whom are representatives of the Defense Forces, agreed to attend the party. At the same time, the accused received a task from the curator to make a powerful bomb with an explosive part of 10 kg. Military counterintelligence officers of the SBU worked ahead of time and detained one of the suspects when he was carrying an improvised explosive device (IED) in his backpack. Another agent, a resident of the Kharkiv region, was detained in a rented house where she was synthesizing components for a bomb. During the searches, components of the SVP, as well as phones with evidence of working for the enemy, including instructions from the Russian curator regarding other intelligence and subversive tasks, were seized from the suspects. Currently, the detainees, in accordance with the crimes committed, have been notified of suspicion under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 1 of Art. 14, part 2 of Art. 258 (terrorist act); Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives). The extras were remanded in custody without bail. The suspects face life imprisonment.
