Not sure if anyone here builds on LLM APIs, but I was getting crushed by Claude 429 rate limits in my Python agent loops, and the $2k+/mo bill wasn't helping. Switched to a private gateway with automatic failover across providers. Same models — Claude Sonnet 5, Opus 5, GPT-6 Asta — but at like $0.25–$0.35 per 1M tokens, roughly 95% less than official, and zero 429 drops so far.
