Hi Mary, you don't have to run your python code from visual studio code alone. There are various tools you can use such as using Pycharm, and you can also use your terminal or command line but you have to install Python to your path so as to run Python as an interactive shell but I would prefer you either use VScode or Pycharm to make it easier.
