You are checking for equality so the ifs are true if both strings are the same which in this case they're not. Assume the input is "hello world" so i will be "h" for the first iteration. Then every if checks if "h" is equal to the given string on right which it isnt bc string on right is "bcdfgh...". What you should do instead is to use "in" keyword instead of equality so it checks if the string on the left is used in string on the right. if i in v: Vo += 1 if i in c: Co +=1 ...

Use for loop and condition like if i == i+1 print i

It's not accurate though. Assume the word is "hehe" so the first repeated char is h but this solution only checks every char with the next one and will not find a repeated char in the string like this.

h is repeated in "hehe" string right?

Just be careful with the last index. So you wont get a index outta range

that's why loop will be less then -1 of len of string
