is that on a phone? you can see it placing the cursor for every individual number. if you try to write a number in one shot on PC it breaks
if, in your selection, you select the left side of the decimal with any numbers after the decimal it will break every time when typing in a number
if you only select the numbers on the left side of the decimal it will work every time
if you jiggle the cursor around and highlight and change one number a time, it works
it's just a horrible user experience, not impossible to work with. that's why i procrastinated complaining

If you keep hitting 9 after the first decimal it goes up by .01 every time, i do it like that ahah
