Thank you for sharing this @vous99 and honestly, we were surprised too. When we read the decision, we were just as indignant as you are. It doesn't feel right that a request can be turned down for not being "urgent enough," especially when we did everything correctly and in good faith. To be clear with everyone: this is the first time we've seen the court reject a case on these grounds, it wasn't about any problem with the file or Vadim's situation, only about the timing relative to his current permit's expiration in November. We don't agree with that reasoning, and that's exactly why we've already filed the appeal. We won't pretend this is easy, with these cases, it's genuinely hard to predict how a judge will rule, and at times it can feel like the courts lean toward AIMA's position rather than looking closely at each person's circumstances. We know how stressful and frustrating that uncertainty is, for you and for all of us going through this together. We will do our best to revert it and keep fighting.

@hammescastro thank you for such wide clarification. can you tell, please, did you have the cases before that you have been requesting the permanent residence through the court for people with active temporary residence cards? or usually when it’s already expired? maybe such one is just a rare case when the temporary residence card will be active 3+ months, so the court acted differently

Yes, I think it might be the reason... It is the first time we file for permanent residence before expiration of the current card. But, at the same time, it is ridiculous! It is notorious that there are no slots for appointments now and there wont be in three months! What they expect the applicants to do???

Hello everyone and dear @hammescastro What do you think about those, who got an appointment for students residence? We all know that law can't apply in reverse, but Portugal doesn't care about the law 💔 I assume they will do their best or to reject applications during appointment time, or after for some formal reasons, like "we can't be sure about their income" or "renting contract seems fake" for us etc
