This is one of the reasons I love open source stuff..
You build something, contribute a small piece, and eventually see that piece become part of a bigger ecosystem.
Kenat/ቀናት is becoming a serious open source toolkit for developers who need Ethiopian calendar functionality at all.
My contributions to Kenat includes a Java 21+ gradle package and a small Ethiopian calendar date-picker lib for shadcn users.
Today, The new Kenat blog post mentions them, and honestly, that recognition is a huge motivation to keep building.
