➡️Hot summer days can be dangerous not only for people but also for our pets.
➡️When the air temperature rises above 30°C (86°F), asphalt exposed to direct sunlight can reach temperatures of 60-70°C (140–160°F).
While dogs' paws provide some natural protection, they are not designed to withstand such extreme heat. Just a few minutes of walking on hot pavement can cause painful irritation or even burns.
A simple test: place the back of your hand on the pavement. If it's too hot for you to keep it there for a few seconds, it's too hot for your dog's paws too.
The challenge doesn't end in summer.
During winter, road salt and de-icing chemicals can also irritate and damage paw pads. In these conditions, dog boots can help protect your dog's paws from heat and salt.
