La notizia è drammatica.
CHIUNQUE abbia generato il proprio seed dal 2021 con un Coldcard affidandosi esclusivamente al Random Number Generator del dispositivo - quindi senza dadi, senza passphrase - è a rischio IMMEDIATO di perdita di fondi.
Anche chi avesse generato un multi-sig esclusivamente con il RNG di Coldcard è a rischio. Se rientrate in questa casistica, controllate il wallet e spostate immediatamente i fondi.

A meno di 24 ore dal furto dei 594 BTC, Coinkite ha pubblicato un security advisory confermando un difetto nella generazione dell'entropia sui propri dispositivi.
I seed generati su Coldcard Mk3 con firmware 4.0.1 (marzo 2021) o versioni successive presentano uno spazio di ricerca effettivo stimato in circa 40 bit. Anche Mk4, Mk5 e Q sono coinvolti: i seed generati prima dei firmware correttivi (versione 5.6.0 per Mk4/Mk5, 1.5.0Q per Q) avrebbero circa 72 bit di entropia invece dei 128 attesi. Coinkite definisce l'impatto su questi modelli "meno severo ma comunque serio".
L'azienda invita "per eccesso di cautela" tutti gli utenti interessati a spostare i fondi. Tapsigner, Opendime e Satscard non risultano coinvolti, trattandosi di codebase differenti.
I dati on-chain raccolti da Atlas21 mostrano che gli UTXO svuotati il 30 luglio risalgono al periodo 2021-2026, coerentemente con la finestra temporale del firmware incriminato. La struttura del furto - una transazione per indirizzo - è compatibile con chiavi ricalcolate singolarmente a partire da entropia insufficiente.

This morning we have closed a security incident that allowed an attacker to access 120 Brevo accounts.
The majority of those have no suspicious activity. The bad actor used the access to send phishing emails to the client's contactbase.
