Hey,
I have two external HDDs. Both Seagate. One is very old, at least 10 years with USB 2.0 (I guess) and 1 TB storage. The other one is new, with USB 3.0 and 6 TB storage.
When I back up my data (about 100 GB), the old HDD takes 1 hour. The new HDD takes 8 hours.
System is Debian 12.
Anyone an idea why the time difference?
I use grsync and with the new HDD I can see, that the data transmission sometimes stops for some minutes and then continues.
