The deeper into dreamworld they got, the bigger of a “kick” they needed to “wake up”. In the context of the movie, a “kick” was a huge or traumatic event in the dream that led to the dreamer waking up.
I’d say a Nuclear False Flag/WWIII precipice would accomplish that feat.
Then Trump cleans it all up, and the public writ-large has just been forced to open their eyes and see who Trump is and what he really stands for.
