The vote by party members on Sunday makes it the first major party in the UK to recognise Zionism as a form of racism - and to back a single democratic Palestinian state with equal rights for all ethnic and religious groups, rather than a two-state solution. 1,022 members voted for the motion while 813 voted against it.

🚨🇮🇱 Israeli troops shoot, kill 22-year-old Palestinian at one of their illegal Syrian outposts   On Sunday night, IDF troops manning an outpost between the Syrian villages of Hader and Quneitra spotted a man approaching their base, machinegunning him to death on the spot using a high-powered MAG gun. The man was identified as a 22-year-old Palestinian from Damascus carrying only a phone and money. The IDF said the man was killed after trying to climb an embankment into the outpost, but there has been no independent confirmation on this score. 👉 Israel moved into the area surrounding the villages after the disintegration of Assad’s government as part of ~350 sq. km in Syrian territory it’s seized since then. The occupation has been accompanied by the forced displacement of locals, the demolition and bulldozing of homes, and fears of looming Israeli settlement. After spending more than a year trying to ink a peace deal with Tel Aviv, Syria’s government has finally begun to criticize Israel’s occupation of its territory. 🔥 Imran Khan supporters march heads for Islamabad despite blockades and detentions The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has started its "March on Islamabad," despite warnings from the authorities. The action was initially planned for September 27 but was postponed to October 4 to allow time for negotiations with the federal government. 👉 However, the dialogue, mediated by the Speaker of the National Assembly, failed. The main sticking point was access to imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan: PTI demanded an immediate meeting with him and his personal physicians. The main goal of the march is the release of the party's founder, as well as ensuring he receives proper medical care and a fair trial. The convoy, in which more than 5,000 supporters are participating, set off on Sunday from the city of Lakki Marwat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The city is located approximately 275 km from the capital. Participants are traveling in trucks, buses, and cars, many holding red-and-green PTI flags, and a huge banner reading "Release Imran Khan" is mounted on one of the trucks.
