Announcement the Stable Team We sincerely apologise for the difficulties currently being experienced. Due to the total redemption amount requested by users during this period exceeding the maximum redeemable capacity of the protocol's smart contract, the contract is no longer able to disburse the equivalent amount of USDC. As a result, the automatic start-stop mechanism has been triggered. Over the past six months, tens of thousands of users have utilised the Stable Protocol for forging and redemption purposes. More than 90% of participants have obtained substantial returns by providing liquidity. However, we acknowledge that a small proportion of ST, STA, and STB holders have been unable to redeem their USDC. Our community developers are actively investigating the underlying causes of this situation. It is possible that the market potential for privacy-focused stablecoins has yet to be fully realised, or that this development has occurred at an inopportune moment amid broader market uncertainty. Regardless of the precise reasons, we have been compelled to temporarily suspend the forging and redemption programmes in order to commence work on Stable Protocol 2.0, with the aim of safeguarding the interests of all participants to the greatest extent possible. Stable Protocol 2.0 will no longer rely on privacy stablecoins as its underlying value foundation. Instead, it will integrate with Polymarket, one of the world's leading prediction markets, to provide users with real-time cryptocurrency market forecasting capabilities. In addition, a new membership system will be introduced, offering participants a broader range of income-generating opportunities. All ST, STA, and STB tokens currently held by users may be utilised within Stable Protocol 2.0 and will be permanently burned upon use.
