Does the installer save any state information on the computer being use to install UT? There is a directory, ~/.config/ubports-installer. There's a lot of stuff in there. There are two directories that have been updated today, 'Session Storage' and blob_storage. There must be some state information about the locked/unlocked status of my phone that is reset when I reboot the computer.

./config is configuration files, updates should be stored is ./cache

There's an installer log file in ~/.cache/ubports. Next time I have trouble with "asserting unlocked bootloader variable" I'll watch that installer log file to see if there's sometime useful.

I've figured out what happened; it was two mistakes on my part: 1) I didn't choose the correct version via the installer (first error). 2) With UTouch running, it gave me a new version to install, 24-04.2.0. 2.1) I installed it, but it always booted up to version 20.04. 2.2) When I used the installer, it gave me a communication error. 2.3) The phone wouldn't boot into recovery mode, and I thought that was the reason (second mistake). 2.4) When Ruben suggested using the installer, I tried one last time, except I had restarted Linux. 3) I put the phone into bootloader mode and launched the installer. 3.1) It recognized it as "lito". 3.2) I entered the correct parameters, and this time, it installed correctly. My problem was step (2.2). I thought it was a "recovery" issue or a communication problem with the phone, when in fact it was a hardware problem with my computer. Conclusion: When a communication error occurs, stop the installer and restart it. If the problem persists, restart your computer. Hope this will be useful for others. 😀

GPS doesn’t work for me under 24.04-2.0 stable. GPS Tool, weather and two map apps fail to get a fix. Waiting many minutes. Is this a known problem?

What's the latest on full device encryption for the n10? Is there an MR that I can track? Thanks.

Full disk encryption, I don't know. But Home directory encryption works. You can enable it in the settings under security.

I thought I read enabling home folder encryption prevents Waydroid from working. Is this true?

No, that was patched, waydroid works just fine

I can attest to this. I have encryption enabled and can use Waydroid as usual.

With me it is when I need to enter my password before the sim unlock.

As I get more into using my n10 as a daily driver, I have another one of these newbie questions. I have tried two of my bluetooth earbuds. Both work well with music. Both are bad for a phone call. The sound is loud enough but so distorted that it is very difficult to understand. Is this a known problem? Is there a fix for this?

This is not just a problem with the N10. It also annoys me a lot, as I make a lot of calls and sometimes the cables get in the way.That it's being addressed, but nothing yet!

I've had phone calls over BT where I could hear ok, but could not be heard well on the other end. I too had wondered whether this was universal with UT, a port issue, or an issue with individual headphones and their compatibility
