What ChatCrawler does not do

ChatCrawler is a search engine for public Telegram: it discovers public groups and channels, crawls their open feeds and indexes their public posts — the way a web search engine indexes open websites. Below is what it does not do, and will not do.

No leaked databasesEvery record in the index comes from the official Telegram API. Hacked, leaked or purchased databases are never used.
No documents, phone numbers or addressesThe index holds only what Telegram publishes itself: the venue title, the username, public posts. No phone numbers, no passport data, no home addresses, no payment details.
No private or closed chatsPrivate conversations, secret chats, closed and invite-only groups are out of reach. If a venue needs an invitation to read, it is not in the index.
No bypassing sign-in or privacy settingsCrawling covers what is open to anyone without logging in. Telegram privacy settings are never bypassed and nothing behind a login is read.
No tracking a personNo location tracking, no alerts on someone's activity, no continuous monitoring. The index is a snapshot of what is public, not surveillance.
No face recognitionBiometrics and face recognition are not used at all.
No selling dataThere is no bulk export of personal profiles and none of it is for sale.
An honest limit. Username history is reconstructed from the public posts the crawler managed to index. If a person never posted publicly, there is no history. A venue nobody ever opened publicly is one we have never seen. We are not omniscient and do not pretend to be: the index covers open Telegram, and only that.
