Don't forget to look at your state's unclaimed property site I handle this for the company I work for, so very familiar with it. Every year or two, go to your state's unclaimed property site and look for your name. You should also check states you lived in previously. We regularly report checks up to $5000. You will need to fill out a bit of paperwork, but you never know! Each state has its own site, so search for "state unclaimed property".
