While cared for in many ways, I doubt they are really that much better off than us europeans. All I ever hear (admittedly on Twitter) is GDP, AC, higher average income and (sometimes) better food. All the while we don't have people living in houses with dirt floors or without health care, our gap between rich and poor is smaller and the point about food is so ridiculous that it doesen't merit a response. The US are acually doing really bad compared to us, when we factor in their amount of available resources, land, plus their ability to extract wealth from the colonies and to export economic failiure abroad.
