Hi admin, If, due to delays we are currently experiencing, because the stages on the ministry’s portal isn’t progressing as much, and an applicant is unable to arrive in Russia before the end of October (or at the latest, early November) and is therefore required to take academic leave and return to their home country; Would the scholarship/quota be considered forfeited? Or would the applicant retain the scholarship and be allowed to resume in the following academic year, starting with the Preparatory Faculty and then continuing to the Master’s or Bachelor’s programme? I understand is not within RUDN’s power to influence the pace at which the ministry works, but then again, with your experience over time , you can advise probable timeline. I believe that’s what most applicants here would like to know. This would properly set expectations, in the event that they would want to start making alternatives. This is already August, and as per information already gathered in recent times , academic activities resume September. This will not provide applicants ample time to prepare for visa in time. The embassy/consulate section in a few countries if not all , takes so much time to even schedule a visa appointment , let alone waiting for the approval (if it is approved, that is). Time is really of the essence here and all the responses we are getting is everything depends on the ministry. Okay, true. But how about the admission committee solicit on behalf of its international student to liaise with the ministry , not to influence progression of the stages, but to provide expected timelines for their applicants? That way , all the daily repetitive questions will be reduced and everyone will know what to expect and know how to proceed accordingly.
