This reminds me of Huawei again, I can take a picture frame from the video editor (petal clip) and share the photo without ever taking a picture. It's still below the results of taking a picture directly, but it's quite good.
*Someone told me that they successfully rooted (reverse engineered) the Huawei P40 Pro and installed Gcam (successfully patched support for C2API). Unfortunately, I lost contact with them.
