[Reminder] BitMEX Exchange Closing on 23 September 2026 at 04:00 UTC Dear BitMEX Users, As a reminder, BitMEX will be closing its exchange operations on 23 September 2026 at 04:00 UTC. Please rest assured that your funds are completely safe. However, we strongly recommend you to close open positions and withdraw your assets before Closure Time: Now to 26 August 2026: The exchange remains fully operational. We strongly encourage you to close open positions and withdraw your funds as soon as practical. 26 August 2026, 04:00 UTC: Risk Limits will be applied to stop increasing any open positions and positions may be force-closed to ensure an orderly market wind-down. 23 September 2026, 04:00 UTC: All remaining open positions will be force-closed immediately, and all exchange services will cease. From 23 September 2026 onwards: All KYC’d balances remaining on the exchange will be charged a monthly account fee of USD50 equivalent or 1% per annum (whichever is greater) until fully withdrawn, such fee to increase over time (to be communicated in advance) if balances are not withdrawn.
