We need help with the situation around Privket. Many of us believed that Canton validators and ecosystem participants were properly checked before being accepted, but now a lot of users are facing a serious issue. People cannot access or withdraw their funds from wallets created through Privket. Users have seed phrases and private keys, but I personally tried to restore my wallet using Console Wallet and C8 Wallet, and I couldn’t restore it anywhere. I can’t fully verify whether the seed phrases / private keys are fake or not. The wallet addresses themselves are real, and the balances are visible on CantonScan. The funds appear to still be there, but users cannot access or withdraw them. Privket has stopped responding and is no longer communicating with users. At this point, it looks like it may have been a scam, but maybe there is still a chance to help people recover access to their funds. We would really appreciate it if the official Canton team or anyone connected to the ecosystem could look into this and help the large number of affected users. This situation is very serious and damages trust in the Canton ecosystem.
