I've been looking into whether I could become a validator. I create content about Canton, so I don't want to just talk about it. I want to understand how it actually works.

Yeah as an individual dev I’ve found it hard to plug in for use cases. Eg, I guess it’s difficult for any useful retail applications. Most are institutional. Meaning, maybe I can build something blind auction platform or whatever. But the adoption has to be driven from top down, or I need some institutional connection first right ?

I get what you mean, but anyone can build on Canton. You don't need an institutional connection to start building. If you have an idea you can apply for a grant from Canton Foundation as well: https://canton.foundation/grants-program/

Yeah, I just couldn’t find a good reason to build as an individual developer because I wouldn’t be earning anything right it would be reserved for the FA‘s only I’ll take a look at the grants though thanks very helpful
