The Verkhovna Rada did not support the government's draft laws aimed at abolishing the VAT exemption for foreign parcels worth up to 150 euros. The insufficient number of votes of the deputies was due to the risk of increasing the cost of not only consumer goods, but also critically important components for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and volunteer supplies. Given that the customs infrastructure was not ready for the implementation of new procedures, the relevant documents were returned for revision. In this regard, until a compromise solution is reached on the balance between the European integration process and practical aspects, Ukrainian citizens will be able to continue ordering small electronics without additional customs payments.
