8/10/2026 -- Massive M7.4 (M7.5) earthquake strikes Colombia South America -- Seismic Unrest spreads A very large damaging M7.4 (M7.5) earthquake has struck South America in Colombia. https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us6000tjl2/executive Five days ago a deep M6.3 struck below the Kermedec Islands (North of New Zealand) prompting me to do a live youtube update livestream. In the live stream (not saved) the warning was issued to watch for a shallower larger earthquake up to 1 magnitude larger than the deep M6.3 to spread up out and away from the Kermedecs, bringing South America into the mix. Additionally we now must watch New Zealand to the South and Indonesia to the West. The exact antipode of this M7.4 in Colombia is Sumatra Indonesia!
