Rep. Ralph Norman announced his candidacy for South Carolina’s U.S. Senate seat following the death of Sen. Lindsey Graham, pledging to support President Trump’s agenda, continue Graham’s legacy, and work to pass the SAVE America Act. A special Republican primary is scheduled for Aug. 11, with a runoff on Aug. 25 if no candidate receives a majority, and the general election will be held on Nov. 3 against Democratic nominee Dr. Annie Andrews. Norman has received endorsements from Sens. Mike Lee and Rick Scott, while President Trump has encouraged Lindsey Graham’s sister, Darline Graham Nordone, who is temporarily serving out the remainder of his term, to enter the race.
