🧠 Crypto Word of the Day — Exchange Outflows
Exchange Outflows refer to the total amount of a specific cryptocurrency that is moved out of centralized exchange wallets and transferred into private, self-custody cold storage wallets.
Why it matters now:
🔹The Supply Squeeze Indicator: When a cryptocurrency sees massive, sudden Exchange Outflows, it means large whales and institutional investors are aggressively buying up spot supply and locking it away for the long term. Because crypto held in private cold storage cannot be easily sold, heavy outflows systematically shrink the liquid supply available on exchanges.
🔹The Price Multiplier: With fewer coins left on exchanges to satisfy incoming buyers, the order books become structurally thin. This means even a minor increase in future demand can cause a violent upward price move because there simply aren't enough sellers left to absorb the buy orders.
