Some people think that this is useful for a country’s position, while other people think that it is a waste of money. I completely believe that it is a beneficial investment for improving athletes’ performance. On the one hand, spending a lot of money on sporting events is useful for the country’s position. There are many positive sides. For example, with high-level opportunities, athletes can practise very well and always win competitions. In addition, authorities must provide security for athletes, officials, journalists, and political leaders. For this reason, more financial stability is needed. On the other hand, some people think it is a waste of money. The government may need to build stadiums, improve airports, expand the public transport system, and prepare accommodation for visitors. They believe it is more important to spend money on hospitals, schools, or other essential public services instead of spending it on sporting events. In my opinion, spending a lot of money on events, especially the Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup, is really useful for our country. It is beneficial not only for athletes but also for local residents because these events can provide jobs and help people earn more money. Also, the main positive side is that international relationships can become stronger and more stable. In conclusion, while some people think that spending a lot of money on international sporting events is a waste of money, I believe that it is a useful investment for a country’s position and development.
