Many large countries are spending money on building new roads, transport systems, extended railway lines, and other facilities. As a result, many main factors are becoming poorer, such as education and healthcare. By using the saved money, education and medical services may be improved, and people’s lives become better in the country. Despite some negatives, this is undoubtedly a positive development. One of the main advantages is that hosting international sporting events highlights a nation's cultural values. If the government hosts more international sports events, such as the FIFA World Cup and Olympic Games, many famous athletes and thousands of viewers will come from other regions. As a consequence, tourism will increase significantly, and this country will become famous in the world. Moreover, it creates more opportunities for cultural exchange. For instance, visitors eat local foods, and they may buy national clothing. This allows tourists to experience the country’s cultural habits and traditions. Another important benefit is the creation of jobs and business opportunities. Local people can find job vacancies in their cities. Because the government should build new facilities, such as new playing areas, roads, hotels, and transport systems. As a result, a lot of people can find different jobs. Moreover, during the competition, local businesses may benefit by offering several services. For example, restaurants and hotels are more important for visitors. Hotels receive more occupancy, and suppliers can provide food, equipment, uniforms, and other services. Consequently, the country’s economic situation will become better, and residents will improve their lifestyle. In conclusion, although hosting international sporting events requires a large sum of money, I believe that the long-term benefits include increased tourism and creating job and business opportunities.
