It's a second pair of mics that live inside the charging case. The premise is that — thanks to beamforming tech and the ability to be positioned just like a traditional handheld mic — the Super Mic is better able to block out everything that isn't your voice. The process feels like you’re still talking on earbuds, but with a walkie-talkie from the distant future. That distant future doesn’t have full software support, however. Supported in-app calls include Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, WhatsApp and WeChat.   My thoughts It's nice see someone take a crack at the numerous problems we have with bluetooth calling these days -- even if it's just a gimmick. We need this kind of innovation and risk taking (1) this compensates for the lack of a boom mics on tiny earbuds  (2) Maybe (hopefully?) this is uses the new LC3 / LE audio for higher bitrate microphone mode Not sure how it's going to be implemented. Maybe even regular phone calls won't work with it. I don't fully understand if it's connecting to the earbuds and replacing that microphone when you press "Talk" or if the case maintains its own separate connection. My understanding is that bluetooth mics normally don't work properly in tandem with other bluetooth headphones.
