 Nvidia to invest $100 Billion into OpenAI Summary Nvidia has announced that OpenAI and themselves have signed a letter of intent for Nvidia to invest upwards of $100 Billion.  OpenAI is to build and deploy at least 10 gigawatts of AI data centers and Nvidia will invest upwards of $100 billion progressively as each gigawatt comes online.    Quotes Quote OpenAI and NVIDIA today announced a letter of intent for a landmark strategic partnership to deploy at least 10 gigawatts of NVIDIA systems for OpenAI’s next-generation AI infrastructure to train and run its next generation of models on the path to deploying superintelligence. To support this deployment including data center and power capacity, NVIDIA intends to invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI as the new NVIDIA systems are deployed. The first phase is targeted to come online in the second half of 2026 using the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform.   My thoughts I was having a discussion with a group on a discord server that I’m on about the Intel investment from Nvidia. I had brought this up: “I honestly think that Nvidia wants to do this so they can use Intel’s foundries for consumer level products and their own capacity at TSMC for B2B…” I think we are possibly going to see that given this substantial investment now into OpenAI.
