 Samsung and Nvidia plan to build an "AI factory" Summary   Samsung and Nvidia made a joint press release that they are building an "AI factory" with 50000 Nvidia GPUs, and a dizzying deluge of buzzwords, from digital twin to LLM models   Spoiler I tried to list all the trademarked technology names in the press release. That's a lot NVIDIA CUDA-X™ NVIDIA Omniverse™ NVIDIA RTX PRO™ NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition NVIDIA cuLitho NVIDIA Isaac Sim™ NVIDIA Cosmos™ NVIDIA Jetson Thor™ NVIDIA NeMo  Synopsys Cadence Siemens OPC lithography platform SOCAMM   Quotes Quote  Samsung plans to extend the use of these technologies into its AI Factory infrastructure and across its broader business areas, building out an intelligent manufacturing ecosystem that brings together AI and robotics.   My thoughts   I read a few articles and both press releases, and I'm not sure what the AI factory is supposed to be manufacturing.   It lists all the buzzword, a dizzying array of technologies and processes, but I'm no closer to understanding what the AI factory will be manufacturing.   Is it a silicon design complex? Seems to list Cadence and other silicon CAD   Is it a silicon fab? Seems to list things like industrial logistics, that could be used to carry around the wafers.   Is it a silicon packaging factory?   Is it a phone assembly plant?   Is it an industrial robot manufacturing plant? Making factory components for other factories?   Is it literally a factory that makes AIs? As in a data center?   Is it one of those facilities filled with industrial robot moving random thingies to build robot world models?   All of the above in one complex? That's ambitious.
