 AMD being sued over tech for 3D cache...the end of the X3D cpu's? Summary So looks like AMD could be potentially be fu**ed.   Quotes Quote Technology licensing company Adeia filed two lawsuits against Advanced Micro Devices in Texas federal court on Monday for allegedly infringing ten patents related to semiconductor innovations..... Adeia requested an unspecified amount of monetary damages and a court order for AMD to stop using its patented technology.   My thoughts The patents in question relate to AMD's 3D-V cache. If AMD loses the ability to use that tech, they be screwed as that is what has actually pushed AMD to the level it's at in 2025 and had a LOT to do with them taking the crown from Intel.   Well it was litigation over IP with Intel that helped get AMD growing in it's early years.
