 Corsair plans to shut down Drop.com late next March I haven't seen this mentioned yet, thought I mention it here in case anyone still wants/needs something from there.    Summary Corsair, the owner of drop.com, announced to stop drop.com at the end of March. This comes only a few years after Corsair took over drop.com in 2023, which many people were worried about back then. All open orders will be fulfilled, but no new orders will be accepted after March 25th.   Quotes Quote ...  As part of our integration with CORSAIR following the 2023 acquisition, Drop will no longer operate as a standalone ecommerce store as of March 31st. The final day to place orders on drop.com is March 25th as products move to their new homes.  ... What does this mean for existing Drop products? Many Drop products will continue to be offered directly from Corsair and partner channels, including CSTM80 and a variety of our licensed offerings. ... https://drop.com/talk/148992/the-next-step-for-drop   My thoughts I was never much into drop.com, but I remember that back when it was still massdrop it had some pretty neat deals. The mechanical keyboard community is worried and disappointed, given that drop holds the right to some brand collaborations, like the Lord of the Rings keycaps and is at this point the only vendor of popular 'MT3' profile keycaps. Whether these will continue to be available through corsair or discontinued is unclear.   Otherwise, I guess the inevitable enshittification of e-commerce through mergers and acquisitions continues. Shame.   Edit: I forgot, geekhack.org is also owned by drop, so there is now concern that one of the remaining 'old school' forums on the internet might be affected as well.
