 Videocardz website 'targeted' in scraping act.... by AMD 'War Room' Summary   Videocardz, prominent website known for its leaks/ rumors heavy reporting, along with (at least for me) summarizing reviews with great list of reviewers that made a review for a major product launch (especially CPU/ GPU), caught AMD doing something shady to their website. The site got hammered with over 26K+ requests - most of them invalid, and after they done the check on the traffic, it was found to be originating from AMD's network in Markham under 'War room' label, that location is home of the old ATI HQ in Canada that are now, obviously, are one of AMD offices. While it seems that the traffic has stopped not long after the report went up, Videocardz warned AMD that they will block the network if it continues.   Quotes Quote  [...] Apparently someone at AMD thought it was important to monitor our website 24/7. We recently noticed a strange surge of invalid requests hitting our website. After checking the traffic, we found roughly 26.6K requests in the last 24 hours, and the source pointed back to AMD’s network. War Room...   What caught our attention is that these were not normal page visits. The requests were targeting content that does not exist on our site, which made it clear this was some kind of automated monitoring or scraping activity. The traffic also exposed a war-room-dashboard user agent, which is where the "war room label comes in. I believe it is this open-source project located here https://github.com/Hue-Jhan/OSINT-War-Room   [...] There is no need to send bots after our site, especially when several of our previous emails have gone unanswered (including the one about FSR4 INT8, btw). That’s why we are not going to bother writing to you about this, rather will just block the network if this continues.   My thoughts Videocardz saying that AMD hasn't responded to various email they sent - especially regarding FSR4 INT8/ FSR4 for RDNA3 and below looks to be very well aligned with Gamers Nexus report of the same thing when Steve said they were sending various question emails to AMD with no response at all. So imma be really quick, on point and straight with you, AMD: What the hell are you guys doing? They're all just asking you, like that's all they did, it's just asking you for further details?
