ort-lived and didn’t even qualify for Copilot+.   Then, in 2024, we got “Copilot+ PCs.”   Now it’s all about Jensen PCs, and who in this day and age can afford to say “no” to Jensen Huang? Not Microsoft, and not every other PC OEM that jumped on board this initiative. But do regular people even care about the chip or about self-hosting their AI when shopping for a laptop?   As a side note, earlier this decade I was here begging people to consider that the mini-LED vs. IT-grade OLED debate wasn’t as clear-cut as some people thought. Some believed I was just blindly defending Apple’s choice to use mini-LEDs in the 2021 MBPs. Now, in the year of our Lord 2026, the apex predator of the new breed of Windows + Jensen PCs, the Surface Ultra, will sport a mini-LED display. Around the same time, MacBook Pros (or probably the MacBook “Ultra”) will move to tandem OLEDs. Funny, huh?   And at this point, I won’t even mention the other hot debate from the old days around here: soldered RAM vs. user-upgradable RAM. That would be like beating a long-dead horse.
