What is DFE for?  -DFE (Disable force encryption) is designed to disable encryption of the user data section.  For most, this is not necessary, but for people who frequently change ROMs, this is a useful addition, since you do not have to do Format data (yes) every time.  It is also useful for users who have castrated TWRP, and it cannot decrypt the data, with DFE there is simply no need to decrypt the data
