Cameron Hughes was sentenced at Preston Crown Court on Thursday, August 20. Hughes, formerly of Ripponden Road, was convicted of publishing obscene articles, contrary to the Obscene Publications Act 1959. The offences involved online conversations on Kik, Snapchat and WhatsApp. Court records show the material was published from Oldham. The conversations involved discussions of child sexual offences and took place between November 2024 and September 2025.
