Former world snooker champion Graeme Dott has been found guilty of sexually abusing two children. The 49-year-old was found guilty following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow on Monday, August 24. The historic charges span between 1993 and 1996 involving a girl, and 2006 to 2010 involving a boy, both of primary school age in the Glasgow region. Dott had denied the two charges against him, claiming the allegations were fabricated, and testified there was "absolutely no way" the events happened. The trial heard how Dott exposed himself in front of both children, touched them inappropriately, and kissed them. Sentencing was deferred until September 29 at the High Court in Edinburgh and the 49-year-old was remanded in custody.

Biofuels INCREASE carbon emissions (and destroy your engine) As countries around the world increase their biofuel production (per IEA recommendations to ease the energy crisis), lip service is often given to saving the environment. It's hogwash. A 2026 study revealed biofuel incentives prompted a huge increase in deforestation. The authors conclude that this resulted in a net increase in carbon emissions. Their excuses don't even hold up. And yes, they are trying to destroy your car, replacing older vehicles with new, computerized models that surveil (and can be controlled remotely). So next time someone says "Biofuels save the earth" — now you know. It's BS, and this is just part of the agenda. - @iceagefarmer (source)

A West Midlands based letting agent has been accused of not returning the deposits of more than 100 tenants. Tony Singh, whose company Morgan, Payne & Knightly has multiple branches in Birmingham, Telford and Wolverhampton, also faces accusations from landlords, who say he did not pass rent on to them. Unpaid sums have in a handful of cases seen county court judgments made against both the company and Singh - who goes by Tony, but whose full name is Amun Singh Judge. Each has also been reported to Trading Standards.
