no, it's a supposedly hybrid "pandina" and I've never heard it run on electricity. it's rather scary what it does by itself. like shaking the driving wheel if I'm touching the lane separators, or deciding how much to slow me down while I release the clutch pedal (I'm used to gear down instead of using the brakes on mountain roads). also: it has 6 gears, and the internal software continues hinting at a higher gear while the car is going up a steep incline and the engine is already begging for a lower gear.
