Make sure the iourc file is owned by root and has the correct permissions: chown root:root /opt/unetlab/addons/iol/iourc chmod 644 /opt/unetlab/addons/iol/iourc
After placing it: /opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions
Within the iol image directory (/opt/unetlab/addons/iol/), you may see two subdirectories:
/opt/unetlab/addons/iol/bin/ – holds the actual .bin IOL images.
/opt/unetlab/addons/iol/lib/ – rarely used unless the image depends on external libraries.
👉 The **iourc** license file does not go into bin/ or lib/. It should be placed directly in the root of the iol directory:
