Troubleshooting steps for broken APT
1. Ensure you have an active internet connection.
- Test your connection by pinging google.com, 8.8.8.8, 1.1.1.1, or your preferred service provider.
- Check your DNS configuration.
2. Follow the steps to remove i-share.top from the list of sources (Send #remove_ishare to see the instructions).
3. Confirm that all sources in /etc/apt/sources.list are reachable.
- If there's an error related to repo.pnetlab.com, check spelling and use the correct protocol (https://). If issues persist, share the error message with @pnetlab.
- If other packages in sources.list cause problems, temporarily remove them and check if apt works with apt update.
5. If the mentioned steps don't resolve the issue, use these search terms for further troubleshooting: "fix apt Ubuntu $version," "apt fails to update + $error message"
