Hi everyone I’m a beginner in Python programming. Is there anyone else here who is just starting out and would like to study together?

welcome! just ask questions here, people are helpful

hey! best way to learn is just start building small things

I’m currently using the *Python Crash Course* book to learn. I did take a Python class, but I want to advance my skills since the class only covered the basics.

python crash course is a good start

The problem is, I've forgotten some basic things, like classes and data bases .

I have covered the basics for python on a course, forgot them, then read Automate the boring stuff with python to remind myself. Now, I am going into the next part of Automate the boring stuff. You can do the same thing aswell. There's even a course on YouTube by the Author of the book himself that covers the book. Whatever you cannot do or understand, you can ask here that's python related. You can also join pythonofftopic for any further discussion.

at that point just build something real while going through it

                Build what?

How perfectly narrowed explanation 👌 👏

I guess that's sarcasm, but the point is: why you want to learn python? What's the purpose? So for example you want o learn web development then build a web

I respect you unlike the other guy so ama just give you the real answer. I am learning python for networking automation and I already have projects that I am planning to work on. But the Uni course was so bad that I had to go back to the basics again to fill out the gaps.

That’s why I dropped out of Uni. Paying all this money for garbage education when you can learn everything on the internet. I recommend Udemy courses

I believe this isn't python specific. Uni isn't that bad unless you are relying on them to teach you real skills. You meet amazing people there, it's good for networking, and the certificate is nice to have. Other than that, you are going to be really disappointed.

Well making some crazy python projects that gonna help to boost your resume will be a nice idea
