lock the bootloader
If you sell it to someone that doesn't know much about phones and that person does something that bricks the device he will probably blame you

In my case my poco f6 got hard brick via flash lock bootloader then I flash edl the guy not locked the bootloader then I try again lock bootloader bot same case got stucked in fastboot or flash got error then I try reflash and guess what it's started flash but but my 2k gone for edl fck mi/poco/xaiomi

U may have used firehose patched file instead.
