Of course not everyone on a state pension is feckless. I am on a state pension and am not feckless. A lot of people who are not on a state pension are feckless. I wasn't talking about "everybody". But to say that something is "unchristian" is completely different. A Christian is not somebody who does or does not do something or say something. You do not become a Christian by trying harder or by being good or anything like that. In fact, the people who are good by trying harder are often not Christians at all. In New Testament times they were recognised as Pharisees. The Christians were people who knew the Lord Jesus personally and who were committed to Him, come what may - and it's the same today. The only good in us is the Lord Jesus in us, "Christ in you, the hope of glory," as the Bible tells us.
That is not the issue, though. The point is that a socialist state, which you seem to be advocating, is one where people depend on the state to look after them. It is a point of view, but not that of Restore Britain. We advocate independence, with as small a state as possible, where the state takes responsibility for national defence, for national security, for national infrastructure but as little else as possible.
