👀 ALBANESE ASKS TRUMP TO SCRAP 12.5% TARIFF ON AUSTRALIA Anthony Albanese and Donald Trump spoke for around 40 minutes overnight, with the Prime Minister using the call to push for Australia to be exempted from the 12.5% US tariff. Albanese raised Australia’s free-trade agreement and the hundreds of billions of dollars in trade surplus the US has recorded with Australia. Trump agreed to “give consideration” to the request but made no commitment. The pair also discussed AUKUS, Iran, AI and critical minerals. @Aussie 🙂
