MORNING BRIEF ☕️: Bitcoin is currently one of 2026's worst-performing major assets. BTC is down roughly 30% YTD, while the Nasdaq has pushed to record levels and traditional assets have substantially outperformed crypto. The divergence is striking: Bitcoin fell 13.4% in Q2 even as the Nasdaq 100 gained 27.7%, according to NYDIG, as strong equity earnings and AI-driven flows contrasted with weaker crypto demand.
With $4.9B in Q2 ETF outflows and renewed treasury selling, BTC remains under pressure. At around $65K, the next test is whether ETF demand can absorb the supply and sustain the recovery.
