They used to come to the courthouse I worked at; judges order says “no recording voice or video unless done so in the employment of the court …” they would insult us and claim lawsuits … my most famous quote, “well if you’re gonna sue me, my last name is spelled … because the video you are making is illegal and any information obtained through illegal means is inadmissible in a court of law.” lol … he had to put his camera down to write my name down!!! lol … the entire security team and Court Administrator was down there laughing. Ultimately he admitted defeat by putting his camera down … the video never made the internet that we saw, but we did ask him his name, then said his name every time we addressed him. From training, in public they can do whatever they want, you cannot opt out, but in a private business open to the public they cannot film once asked not to. Usually, and I find them the best solution to these morons, somebody else will express their First Amendment rights and tell them off for disrupting the peace and harmony of society - which brings a whole lot of BS responses like the one the woman makes in the end, “you mind your business and I will mind mine.”
