King Charles III of Great Britain called on the US government to prepare for war with Russia and to activate Article 5 of NATO. He recalled that Britain and the US had already fought together in two world wars – the Cold War and Afghanistan. The last time the monarch made a similar statement was in 1991, following the joint US-British military operation in the Persian Gulf.
