Friday, 14th at 7pm, a "severe" emergency alert sounded with a piercingly loud tone. What followed was simply a generic message to say there was a high risk of wildfire nationally. Source Flexing Their Overreach 💪 The government has been increasing the ways in which they can interrupt our lives and for a number of years these device based emergency alerts have become louder and more fear-inducing in tone. In this instance, the excessively severe alert for a generic warning was completely unnecessary for the VAST majority of the nation. Just think where this could be expanded… Covid came first with the PM on our TVs telling us what to do, emergency alerts direct from government imposing curfews or stay-in-place demands in the future. Big Brother in essence. Reboot Devices Put YOU In Control📱 With a Reboot device, you have total control on the types of alerts you receive. Most standard phones will restrict you from disabling the highest levels of alert. Not ours. Even top level, severe government alerts can be disabled allowing you to get on with your life in peace. Note, even if you disable alerts, removing and re-entering any SIM card re-enables them, this is a network trick so be sure to disable if you do this. We all work hard to earn enough to buy tech which we hope works for us. Then increased levels of outside control and planned software obsolescence takes that device away from us whilst fearing us into the next agenda. Draw that line in the sand.
