Fauci: "I don't think that's relevant." Jordan: "Well, you just said if it increases the spread of the virus. I'm just asking, should we eliminate it?" Fauci: "Well, I'm not in a position to determine what the government can do in forceful way." Jordan: "You're stopping people from going to church, but you're not shutting down protests. Do you understand Americans' concern?" In his diary, Fauci boasts of convincing governors Newsom and de Blasio to shut down schools, bars and restaurants in California and New York. Parks, beaches and small businesses were also shuttered.
